Being that the industry is so new it is very hard to determine what you should or shouldn’t purchase.

We will break down everything you need to know in order to determine if Hemp or CBD is a better option.

Whats the difference between Hemp and CBD?

Before we talk about the differences we need to talk about the similarities between them both.   Hemp and marijuana or CBD come from the same species of plant.

An article was published that points out those similarities in more detail called “A Practical and Natural Taxonomy for Cannabis”  that was published in 1976 explains:

The biggest difference between the two in regards to oils is in the number of cannabinoids (such as THC and CBD) that they each of them contain. Check our CBD Capsules page for more information our our CBD Concentrates page.

There are close to 400 different natural compounds in both marijuana and hemp. The two that are  most prevalent and that most people have heard of is, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), the big difference between hemp oil and cannabis oil. THC is the cannabinoid responsible for giving a euphoria feeling, high or ‘stoned’ feeling. Whereas CBD, on the other hand, is not psychotropic meaning it doesn’t deliver any of those feelings.
